Wafer paper, often called rice paper, is actually made from potato starch and is a favourite tool in cake decorating for creating lightweight accents that stand proud on a cake and keep their shape. Think delicate butterflies, ruffles, sails and floral elements that add height and drama without weighing your cake down.
This medium thickness wafer paper (0.27 mm, AD Grade) is sturdy enough for cutting, shaping and edible printing, making it ideal for decorative elements, toppers and edible images. Its firm structure holds form well while still being easy to trim, emboss and work with for creative cake designs. It can also be used for burnaway cakes.
